Q: Do you offer services to both men and women?

A: Currently, we only offer services to women. 

Q: How long will the treatment last?

A: Everyone is different, but the general rule of thumb is approximately 4 - 6 weeks

Q: When is the best time to start sugaring?

A: The best time to start is in the colder months as by the time spring/summer arrives, the hair growth will be so much finer, fairer and sparser, that you will not notice them in between treatments.

Q: How long does the hair have to be before I can start sugaring?

A: For the first couple of treatments, the longer the hair is the better. – About a quarter of an inch is great to begin with. As you have further treatments, the hair can be as short as 1/4-1/2 of an inch.

Q: Will it hurt?

A: It will always be less painful than waxing because sugar is not heated and will not adhere to live skin cells. However, the first time is always the worst as the large bulbs resulting from shaving have to be removed. Once these have been removed the new bulb that grows to produce the replacement hair is smaller and therefore easier to remove. With repetitive treatments the bulb becomes weaker and weaker producing a much finer & fairer hair, until eventually the hair diminishes completely.

Q: What do I wear to have my bikini area sugared?

A: You can definitely wear your own undies, however they might get a little powder and/or sugar on them which is completely water soluble and will just dissolve with a little water. I recommend bringing a fresh pair to put on after bikini and Brazilian services to prevent any bacteria from causing skin irritation to your freshly sugared skin. I also provide disposable bikinis for your use if you prefer.

Q: What can I expect for a Brazilian Service?

A: For a Brazilian Service, you will be naked from the waste down, a towel is provided to place across you. Sarah works hard to keep clients comfortable and will walk you through the process.

Q: Are there any warnings I should know about?

A: Yes. If you are taking or have taken in the last 6 months Retin-A, Renova , Accutane (an oral form of Retin-A), Tazorac, or Differin we may not be able to sugar you. Please call Sarah to discuss your individual situation.

Q: Can I bring a guest / my kids?

A: Sorry, No. Hello Sugar is a very cozy space with no room for extra bodies. Please treat this as you would a massage or facial in that it is not appropriate for others to be in the room at the time of service.

Q: Can I be sugared while on my period / pregnant?

A: Yes and No. It will be more sensitive right before or at the beginning of your cycle, so if possible, avoid an appointment during that time. Please wear either a tampon or menstrual cup if actively bleeding. While sugaring is 100% safe during pregnancy, I do not currently offer sugaring services to pregnant clients.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Here at Hello Sugar, I rarely keep you waiting. I value your time and strive to provide you with the best service possible. My commitment to efficiency and exceptional service requires a smooth schedule for both my clients and myself. To ensure that your experience with me is seamless and enjoyable, I kindly request your cooperation with the following cancellation policy:

1. Prompt Arrival: I understand that punctuality is important to you, and I respect that. I aim to minimize waiting times, and I kindly ask that you arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.
2. Late Arrival Policy: If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, please be aware that we may need to adjust the duration of your services or reschedule your appointment. This ensures that I am able to provide quality service to all of my valued clients.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy: I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. However, to accommodate as many clients as possible and to honor our everyones time, I require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduled appointments.
4. Late Cancellation/Rescheduling Charge: Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for 50% of the services scheduled.
